Hi, I’m Chris. I run a small creative services business helping people and companies make the most of websites, design and AI tools. That’s my day job — however this website is what I hope will become a useful resource for the older generation and their online experience.
I created Annie Askwell to be a helpful AI Assistant offering advice on how to stay safe online and how to incorporate AI technology into your daily online life. Our first PDF guide, ScamSense, is something I’ve created for a more personal reason.
A while ago, my 89-year-old mum was scammed by someone pretending to be from a computer help desk. It shook her confidence and left her feeling embarrassed and very much out of pocket, even though it wasn’t her fault. Having spoken to a few friends about this it became apparent to me that many older adults were also unsure about how to stay safe online — and worried about clicking the wrong thing.
That’s why I decided to create this simple, practical PDF guide, the first of many. It’s written in plain English, with no tech jargon or scare tactics — just honest advice and clear examples to help people spot scams and protect themselves online. If this guide helps just one person avoid a scam, it’ll have been worth it.
Thanks for stopping by, and I hope ScamSense gives you or someone you care about a bit more confidence and peace of mind online.
Check back often as we will be adding more helpful PDF guides over time.
